This policy explains what personal data ValladolidDispensas.com collects, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and the choices and rights you have — including the rights given to you by the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and by United States state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

This site is a free genealogical index. It is not a shop and it has no user accounts: apart from the optional email update list, you can read every page here without giving us anything about yourself.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The controller of this site is Daniel Serna, who runs ValladolidDispensas.com as a personal, non-commercial genealogy project.

The blog is hosted on Blogger, a service of Google LLC/Google Ireland Limited.

Where third parties (Google, Microsoft, Cloudflare, PayPal) act as independent controllers of data they collect through this site, their own privacy policies govern that processing; the links are given in section 5.

2. What we collect

a) Data collected automatically when you visit

Like any website, Blogger's servers record technical data when a page is requested: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and device type. Google uses this to serve the site, keep it secure, and produce the aggregate audience statistics ("Blogger Stats", and Google Analytics where it is enabled) that tell us how many people read which pages. We see those statistics only in aggregate — we cannot identify you from them.

b) Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site involves:

Strictly necessary cookies set by Google/Blogger to deliver the site, remember your display preferences, and protect against abuse and spam.
Advertising cookies and identifiers set by Google AdSense and its advertising partners, described in section 4.
Measurement cookies used for audience statistics.
Cloudflare Turnstile, used only on the email-updates page, which performs a privacy-preserving check that you are a human rather than a bot.

Except for strictly necessary cookies, in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland these are set only if you consent through the consent banner (section 4). You can change or withdraw that consent at any time.

c) The email update list (optional)

If you subscribe on the Novedades / Updates page, we store only:

your email address, and a hash of it used as the record key;
your preferred language (Spanish or English);
the dates on which you confirmed your subscription and, if applicable, unsubscribed, as our record that you consented.

No name, no browsing history, no profiling. To stop the form being used to mail a stranger repeatedly, we also keep short-lived abuse counters keyed to a one-way hash of the requesting IP address — the address itself is never stored in readable form — and a six-digit verification code that expires after 15 minutes.

d) Comments

Comments are handled by Blogger. If you leave one, the name or profile you choose to comment under, and the content of your comment, are published on the page and processed by Google under its own policy. Please do not put personal data about living people into a comment.

e) Donations

The donation button sends you to PayPal. Payment is completed entirely on PayPal's site: we never see or receive your card number, bank details, or address — only, from PayPal, the fact that a donation was made.

f) Email you send us

If you write to us — to report a correction, offer to help index, or exercise a privacy right — we keep your message and address for as long as needed to deal with it and to keep a record of the correspondence.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis (GDPR Art. 6)

We do not use your data to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.

4. Advertising, cookies and your consent

This site is free and carries advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertising helps cover the cost of keeping the indexes online.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices (and, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu).
How Google handles data from sites that use its services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent banner (a Google-certified Consent Management Platform, operating under the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework) appears on your first visit and asks whether you agree to cookies for personalised ads and measurement. Refusing is free of charge and you still get the full site — you will simply see non-personalised ads. Your choice is stored in your browser and applies to your later visits.

Change your choice at any time:

If nothing opens, your region does not show the banner, or your browser is blocking it; you can always clear this site's cookies to be asked again.

5. Who your data is shared with

We do not sell your data and we do not share the email list with anyone. Data reaches these service providers because of how the site is built:

Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd — Blogger hosting, AdSense advertising, audience statistics. Privacy policy. A list of the ad-technology partners that may receive data through the consent banner is shown inside the banner itself.
Microsoft Corporation (Azure) — hosts the email-list database and the subscription API, in the Central US region. Privacy statement.
Azure Communication Services (Microsoft) — delivers the verification and update emails.
Cloudflare, Inc. — Turnstile bot check on the subscription form. Privacy policy.
PayPal — donations only, as an independent controller. Privacy statement.

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.

6. International transfers

The site's hosting, advertising and email infrastructure is operated by companies based in the United States, so if you are in Europe your data is transferred outside the EEA/UK. Those transfers rely on the safeguards those providers put in place — the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where the provider is certified, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK Extension and Swiss–US counterpart). The email list itself is stored on Microsoft Azure in the United States.

7. How long we keep it

Email list: until you unsubscribe. After you unsubscribe we keep the hashed key, the "unsubscribed" status and the date — so that unsubscribe links already sitting in your inbox stay revoked and you are not re-added by accident — and we never mail that address again.
Verification codes: 15 minutes. Sign-in sessions on the subscribe page: 20 minutes. Abuse counters (hashed IP): a rolling 60-minute window.
Emails you send us: as long as needed for the matter, and then as a record of the correspondence.
Server logs and statistics held by Google, and advertising data: for the retention periods set by Google.
Comments: until you or we delete them.

8. Your rights in Europe (EU/UK GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you, and get a copy;
Rectify data that is wrong or incomplete;
Erase your data ("right to be forgotten");
Restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interests, including profiling;
Data portability — receive the data you gave us in a machine-readable form;
Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out — by unsubscribing, or by reopening the consent banner above;
Complain to your data protection authority. In Spain that is the AEPD; in the UK the ICO; elsewhere, the authority for your country.

To exercise any of these, write to daniel_serna@hotmail.com. We answer within one month. We may need to confirm that the request comes from the address concerned; there is no charge.

9. Your rights in the United States

If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information is collected and to whom it is disclosed, to obtain a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising — and not to be treated differently for exercising those rights.

In the last 12 months the categories of personal information involved on this site have been: identifiers (email address, IP address, cookie and advertising identifiers), internet or network activity (pages viewed, referring page, browser and device), and, for advertising partners, inferences drawn to select ads. They are collected for the purposes in section 3, from you and from your device.

"Sale" and "sharing": we do not sell personal information for money, and we never sell or rent the email list. However, when you allow personalised advertising, the resulting disclosure of cookie and device identifiers to advertising partners may count as a "sale" or as "sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising" under California and similar state laws. To opt out:

use the Manage my consent choices button in section 4, where the banner is available in your region; and/or
turn off personalised ads in Google Ads Settings, and use aboutads.info/choices; and/or
email daniel_serna@hotmail.com with "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" in the subject.

Where your browser sends an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control (GPC), our advertising provider treats it as an opt-out of sale/sharing in the states that require this. You may also use an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf.

We do not collect sensitive personal information, and we do not knowingly process it for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you.

10. Children

This site is intended for adult genealogical researchers. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16 (under 13 in the United States, per COPPA). If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.

11. Security

The subscription API runs over HTTPS, stores email addresses keyed by a one-way hash, verifies every address by a code sent to it (double opt-in), signs its unsubscribe links, and rate-limits requests. No system is perfectly secure, but the amount of data held here is deliberately kept to a minimum.

12. Links to other sites

Almost every index entry links to FamilySearch.org, and other pages link to archives and libraries. Once you follow such a link you are on someone else's site, under their privacy policy, not this one.

13. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Significant changes affecting the email list will also be announced in an update email.

Este aviso explica qué datos personales recoge ValladolidDispensas.com, para qué, con quién se comparten, cuánto tiempo se conservan y qué opciones y derechos tienes —incluidos los que te otorgan el Reglamento General de Protección de Datos (RGPD) de la Unión Europea y del Reino Unido y las leyes estatales de privacidad de los Estados Unidos, como la ley de California (CCPA/CPRA).

Este sitio es un índice genealógico gratuito. No es una tienda y no tiene cuentas de usuario: salvo la lista de correo voluntaria, puedes leer todas sus páginas sin darnos ningún dato tuyo.

Cuando terceros (Google, Microsoft, Cloudflare, PayPal) actúan como responsables independientes de los datos que recogen a través de este sitio, ese tratamiento se rige por sus propias políticas; los enlaces están en el apartado 5.

2. Qué datos se recogen

a) Datos recogidos automáticamente al visitar el sitio

Como en cualquier sitio web, los servidores de Blogger registran datos técnicos cuando se solicita una página: tu dirección IP, la fecha y la hora, la página solicitada, la página de procedencia y el tipo de navegador y dispositivo. Google los utiliza para servir el sitio, mantenerlo seguro y elaborar las estadísticas agregadas de audiencia («Estadísticas de Blogger» y Google Analytics cuando está activado) que nos indican cuánta gente lee cada página. Nosotros solo vemos esas estadísticas de forma agregada: no podemos identificarte a partir de ellas.

b) Cookies y tecnologías similares

Las cookies son pequeños archivos que guarda tu navegador. En este sitio intervienen:

Cookies estrictamente necesarias, puestas por Google/Blogger para servir el sitio, recordar tus preferencias de visualización y protegerlo frente a abusos y spam.
Cookies e identificadores publicitarios de Google AdSense y sus socios publicitarios, descritos en el apartado 4.
Cookies de medición, para las estadísticas de audiencia.
Cloudflare Turnstile, solo en la página de novedades, que comprueba de forma respetuosa con la privacidad que eres una persona y no un robot.

Salvo las estrictamente necesarias, en el Espacio Económico Europeo, el Reino Unido y Suiza estas cookies solo se instalan si lo consientes en el banner de consentimiento (apartado 4). Puedes cambiar o retirar ese consentimiento cuando quieras.

c) La lista de novedades por correo (voluntaria)

Si te suscribes en la página Novedades / Updates, solo guardamos:

tu dirección de correo, y un hash de la misma que sirve de clave del registro;
el idioma que prefieres (español o inglés);
las fechas en que confirmaste la suscripción y, en su caso, la baja, como prueba de tu consentimiento.

Ni nombre, ni historial de navegación, ni elaboración de perfiles. Para evitar que el formulario se use para enviar correo repetidamente a un tercero, guardamos además contadores temporales de abuso asociados a un hash unidireccional de la dirección IP —la dirección nunca se almacena en claro— y un código de verificación de seis dígitos que caduca a los 15 minutos.

d) Comentarios

Los comentarios los gestiona Blogger. Si dejas uno, el nombre o perfil con el que comentes y el contenido del comentario se publican en la página y son tratados por Google conforme a su propia política. Por favor, no incluyas datos personales de personas vivas en un comentario.

e) Donaciones

El botón de donación te lleva a PayPal. El pago se completa íntegramente en el sitio de PayPal: nunca vemos ni recibimos tu número de tarjeta, tus datos bancarios ni tu dirección, solo la constancia, a través de PayPal, de que se hizo una donación.

f) Correos que nos envías

Si nos escribes —para señalar una corrección, ofrecerte a indexar o ejercer un derecho— conservamos tu mensaje y tu dirección el tiempo necesario para atenderlo y como constancia de la correspondencia.

3. Para qué se usan y con qué base legal (art. 6 RGPD)

4. Publicidad, cookies y tu consentimiento

Este sitio es gratuito y muestra publicidad servida por Google AdSense. La publicidad ayuda a cubrir el coste de mantener los índices en línea.

Proveedores externos, entre ellos Google, utilizan cookies para mostrar anuncios basados en tus visitas anteriores a este y a otros sitios web.
El uso de cookies publicitarias por parte de Google permite que Google y sus socios te muestren anuncios basados en tu visita a este sitio o a otros sitios de Internet.

5. Con quién se comparten tus datos

No vendemos tus datos ni compartimos la lista de correo con nadie. Estos proveedores reciben datos por la forma en que está construido el sitio:

Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd: alojamiento en Blogger, publicidad de AdSense y estadísticas de audiencia. Política de privacidad. La lista de socios de tecnología publicitaria que pueden recibir datos a través del banner se muestra dentro del propio banner.
Microsoft Corporation (Azure): aloja la base de datos de la lista de correo y la API de suscripción, en la región Central US. Declaración de privacidad.
Azure Communication Services (Microsoft): entrega los correos de verificación y de novedades.
Cloudflare, Inc.: comprobación antirrobots (Turnstile) en el formulario de suscripción. Política de privacidad.
PayPal: solo para donaciones, como responsable independiente. Declaración de privacidad.

También podremos comunicar datos si la ley lo exige, o para formular o defender reclamaciones.

6. Transferencias internacionales

La infraestructura de alojamiento, publicidad y correo del sitio la operan empresas con sede en los Estados Unidos, de modo que, si estás en Europa, tus datos se transfieren fuera del EEE y del Reino Unido. Esas transferencias se amparan en las garantías previstas por dichos proveedores: las Cláusulas Contractuales Tipo de la Comisión Europea y, cuando el proveedor está certificado, el Marco de Privacidad de Datos UE–EE. UU. (y sus extensiones para el Reino Unido y Suiza). La lista de correo se almacena en Microsoft Azure, en Estados Unidos.

7. Cuánto tiempo se conservan

Lista de correo: hasta que te des de baja. Tras la baja conservamos la clave con hash, el estado «dado de baja» y la fecha —para que los enlaces de baja que ya están en tu buzón sigan revocados y no se te vuelva a añadir por error— y no volvemos a escribir a esa dirección.
Códigos de verificación: 15 minutos. Sesiones de la página de suscripción: 20 minutos. Contadores de abuso (IP con hash): una ventana móvil de 60 minutos.
Correos que nos envías: el tiempo necesario para el asunto y, después, como constancia de la correspondencia.
Registros de servidor y estadísticas en poder de Google y datos publicitarios: durante los plazos de conservación fijados por Google.
Comentarios: hasta que tú o nosotros los borremos.

8. Tus derechos en Europa (RGPD de la UE y del Reino Unido)

Si te encuentras en el EEE, el Reino Unido o Suiza, tienes derecho a:

Acceder a los datos personales que tenemos sobre ti y obtener una copia;
Rectificar los datos inexactos o incompletos;
Suprimir tus datos («derecho al olvido»);
Limitar el tratamiento u oponerte al que se basa en el interés legítimo, incluida la elaboración de perfiles;
Portabilidad: recibir en formato legible por máquina los datos que nos facilitaste;
Retirar el consentimiento en cualquier momento, sin que ello afecte al tratamiento ya realizado: dándote de baja o reabriendo el banner con el botón anterior;
Reclamar ante tu autoridad de control. En España, la AEPD; en el Reino Unido, la ICO; en otros países, la autoridad correspondiente.

Para ejercer cualquiera de ellos, escribe a daniel_serna@hotmail.com. Respondemos en el plazo de un mes. Puede que necesitemos confirmar que la solicitud procede de la dirección afectada; el ejercicio es gratuito.

9. Tus derechos en los Estados Unidos

Si resides en California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas u otro estado con una ley general de privacidad, tienes derecho a saber qué información personal se recoge y a quién se comunica, a obtener una copia, a corregirla, a suprimirla y a excluirte de la publicidad dirigida, sin sufrir por ello un trato distinto.

En los últimos 12 meses las categorías de información personal implicadas en este sitio han sido: identificadores (dirección de correo, dirección IP, identificadores de cookie y de publicidad), actividad en Internet o en la red (páginas vistas, página de procedencia, navegador y dispositivo) y, en el caso de los socios publicitarios, inferencias para seleccionar anuncios. Se recogen para las finalidades del apartado 3, de ti y de tu dispositivo.

«Venta» y «compartición»: no vendemos información personal por dinero y nunca vendemos ni alquilamos la lista de correo. Ahora bien, cuando aceptas la publicidad personalizada, la comunicación de identificadores de cookie y de dispositivo a los socios publicitarios puede considerarse una «venta» o una «compartición para publicidad conductual entre contextos» conforme a la ley de California y otras leyes estatales. Para excluirte:

usa el botón Gestionar mis preferencias de consentimiento del apartado 4, allí donde el banner esté disponible en tu región; o
desactiva la publicidad personalizada en la Configuración de anuncios de Google y en aboutads.info/choices; o
escribe a daniel_serna@hotmail.com con el asunto «Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information».

Cuando tu navegador envía una señal de exclusión como Global Privacy Control (GPC), nuestro proveedor publicitario la trata como exclusión de la venta o compartición en los estados que así lo exigen. También puedes designar a un agente autorizado para presentar la solicitud en tu nombre.

No recogemos información personal sensible ni la tratamos para inferir características sobre ti.

10. Menores

Este sitio está dirigido a personas adultas interesadas en la investigación genealógica. No se dirige a menores y no recogemos conscientemente datos de menores de 16 años (de 13 en los Estados Unidos, conforme a la COPPA). Si crees que un menor nos ha facilitado datos, escríbenos y los eliminaremos.

11. Seguridad

La API de suscripción funciona sobre HTTPS, guarda las direcciones bajo una clave con hash unidireccional, verifica cada dirección mediante un código enviado a ella (doble opt-in), firma sus enlaces de baja y limita la frecuencia de las peticiones. Ningún sistema es perfectamente seguro, pero la cantidad de datos que aquí se guarda se mantiene deliberadamente al mínimo.

12. Enlaces a otros sitios

Casi todas las entradas de los índices enlazan a FamilySearch.org, y otras páginas enlazan a archivos y bibliotecas. En cuanto sigues uno de esos enlaces estás en el sitio de otra entidad, sujeto a su política de privacidad y no a esta.

13. Cambios en este aviso

Si este aviso cambia, la nueva versión se publica en esta página con una nueva fecha de «última actualización». Los cambios importantes que afecten a la lista de correo se anunciarán además en un correo de novedades.
